I was browsing on the Faith@Work website this morning, and found this poem. It seems to be particularly appropriate to my current situation. It is also a perfect accompaniment to my earliest gardening efforts in New England, where it is becoming evident that, beneath the just melted snow piles, life has been at work.
Hopeful Gardeners
Help us to be the always hopeful
Gardeners of the Spirit
Who know that without darkness
Nothing comes to birth
As without light
Nothing flowers.

Help us to be the always hopeful

Who know that without darkness
Nothing comes to birth
As without light
